【Notice】Tsunami Advisory Following Earthquake Near the Kamchatka Peninsula (All Students Confirmed Safe)
At approximately 8:25 AM on the 30th of July, a major earthquake occurred near the Kamchatka Peninsula, prompting a tsunami advisory for coastal areas of Shikoku.
As our campuses are located in Susaki City and Tosashimizu City, Kochi Prefecture, they are significant distances from the epicenter, and hence no damage has been reported at this time. We are happy to inform you that all students and staff currently at the school are safe.
In addition, we have confirmed the safety of students and staff participating in club activities and expeditions during the summer break, as communication has been established with supervising teachers and chaperones.
We will continue to prioritize safety and monitor updates from the Japan Meteorological Agency closely.
We understand that this situation may have caused concern for parents and guardians, but we hope this notice offers reassurance that all members of our school community are currently safe and unharmed.
Thank you for your continued understanding and support.
