New Coronavirus Measures Being Taken at Meitoku

Dear Parents and Guardians,

It is unfortunate for such an event to happen at this moment and we would like to assure you that Meitoku is taking all possible preventive measures to ensure that the students’ well-being is taken care of.

First of all, in the month of February, we decided to cancel our annual school trip and the graduation ceremony as an initial precaution to ensure that our students are not exposed to large crowds. Not long after, we received a request from the Japanese government which led us to close the entire school temporarily from the 2nd of March until the end of spring break through early April.

As a boarding school with many international students, we have a set of measures in place to follow up with the students’ health status. Those who have returned to their hometown are to record their temperature over a span of two weeks before returning to school in early April. These students will then have to update their respective homeroom teacher on their health situation. As for those who have decided to stay on campus, we have a nurse around the clock to make sure that the students are in a good state of health.

In times of uncertainty as such, we are grateful for your understanding and cooperation. We will continue to keep everyone posted with the latest updates. Thank you in advance for your maximum support.
